4-piece AFTERDRIVE channel nostalgic indie with their second single '99' that will be released on the 26th of May.
Widely anticipated second single '99' from AFTERDRIVE is the more upbeat follow up from debut 'Stick Around' and will be released on the 26th of May. Formed in 2022 the Ipswich, Suffolk four-piece are a relatable and refreshing addition to the indie rock scene. Channeling nostalgic indie and anthemic modern rock AFTERDRIVE are already gaining fans from multiple countries around the world. Debut single 'Stick Around' was a quick success gaining over 7.000 streams on Spotify in its first two weeks and is currently sitting at over 20,000. The single was also BBC Introducing Suffolk and Norfolk's track of the week. Already a fan favourite live, new single '99' is more upbeat than AFTERDRIVE's debut and contains elements of synth pop whilst sticking to the bands indie rock roots. The song was recorded at Magic Garden Studios by Gavin Monaghan and Liam Radburn. I thought '99' was a very bright and nostalgic toned song. It's very modern indie rock and has a real feel-good quality about it. I can understand why this, even before its release, is already becoming a fan favourite. The combination of the emotional toned lyrics and the vibrant instrumental that allows you to escape reality makes '99' a really nice song to listen to. These guys are becoming popular, and I can see why, they are bringing enjoyable indie rock that will be easy to love.
