Calva Louise explore human connection with their new single 'Aimless'

A story of a band that found each other on opposite sides of the world, welcome to the Calva Louise universe. Combining elements of metal, punk, electronica, rock and more Calva Louise have created a cinematic and immersive experience within their sound, and that alongside their impressive DIY spirit has gained them an impressive reputation. The band have graced stages at festivals like Download, 2000 Trees and even headlined the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds. Their unique creative take on heavy music has also seen them tour with the likes of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Razorlight, Boston Manor, Bloodywood and in 2024 they completed a co-headline tour of the US with VUKOVI. The art rock group are set to release their next album 'Edge of the Abyss' on July 11th via Mascot Records and alongside this announcement they have treated fans to a brand new single 'Aimless'.

Revolving around the theme of human connection Calva Louise's new single channels everything I love about this band and each unique element makes for an unusual yet totally captivating listen. Their theatrical style is as artistic and beautiful as it is brutal and heavy in 'Aimless', there's something almost a bit unhinged about this track, like looking danger straight in the face but it's wearing an angelic disguise. This feeling comes from the complete contrast between the crazy heavy outbursts that seemingly come from nowhere compared to the the softer alluring vocals. I've listened to Calva Louise for a while now but I have to say honestly I haven't been this excited for something from them until this album, if 'Aimless' is anything to go by it's going to be a wild, intense but amazing experience.
