Birmingham's CHERRYDEAD deliver unfiltered rage with their second single 'FORSAKEN LAND'.
CHERRYDEAD's 'FORSAKEN LAND' displays exactly why they are one of the UK metal scenes exciting newcomers. Even though the five-piece formed in 2023, CHERRYDEAD truly burst onto the scene with their debut single 'CYNTHIA' in 2024. Combining soft tones from the likes of Flyleaf with their own blend of raw heaviness, CHERRYDEAD are welcoming you to not only sing-a-long but to headbang and mosh with their tracks. With low rumbles and growls this is a track that from the get-go begs you to get in the pit. 'FORSAKEN LAND' begins with a heavy, fast intensity but before long breaks into the unexpected powerful melodic chorus showing that CHERRYDEAD have talent all round. For most of this track I was listening thinking "these guys have potential but there's a little something missing" but then towards the end of the track where they bring in what I'm going to refer to as the bonus breakdown, that is where I found everything I was looking for, the heavy power these guys demonstrate will have them making waves in the metal community in no time.
