DISTANCE DIVINE - Self Destruction

Kayleigh

DISTANCE DIVINE are bursting back onto the scene with a new vocalist and new single 'Self Destruction' which features JJ Olifent from Hacktivist.

After a three year hiatus, DISTANCE DIVINE are back with their self-proclaimed politically charged single 'Self Destruction'. The post-metalcore four-piece from Lincolnshire, UK, are just back of a three year hiatus with a brand new vocalist Johnny Nelson (ex Violent, Tahoe, Verbalinchi). With their new single the group have seen wide radio success, including being named Future Hits Radio's track of the week and getting a spot on Alyx Holcombe's BBC Introducing Rock Show on Radio 1. The very modern post-metalcore sounds of 'Self Destruction' delivers a fresh intensity to DISTANCE DIVINE's sound. While listening you can feel the anger that's put across in the politically charged track, especially the in your face guitars and vocals. The lively track feels like a statement demanding you listen to the lyrics. My favourite part of this track however is the breakdown and the heavy vocal that comes in before it drops, which adds to the energy of this one making it feel more aggressive. If you're into the modern metalcore sound then I'd recommend giving this single a listen.
