After their impressive debut release post-hardcore, screamo band Falling Empires have released their follow up single 'Enough'.
Following on from their debut release 'Thank God' in July, last week Falling Empires released their next single 'Enough'. Blending together their various musical tastes the band from South West, UK create high energy riff based tracks with heart. Post-hardcore, screamo, grunge, stoner rock and punk rock all get mashed together by Falling Empires to create a sound that will make you want to mosh, bounce, scream, sing and feel. Coming in a little less harcore and with more of a grunge tinge, 'Enough' is quite a bit different from 'Thank God'. Falling Empires debut release quickly became a favourite of mine with it's no nonsense sound yet this new track 'Enough' took a couple of listens for me to feel like I really got it. I think this one is more in your face loud with everything from the guitars, to the drums to the vocals coming at you faster and harder. The chorus which is especially in your face is probably one of my favourite things about this track. However, I am also a big fan of the rumbling build up of the bass at about two minutes in which is joined by the spirited beat of the drums, a bright guitar melody and vocals that are straight out of 2010's hardcore. This part of the song is where I was reminded how much potential Falling Empires have and honestly kind of made the song for me.
