London's Ghost Arcadia come out ablaze with their single 'Cyclone', from their brand new EP 'What We Become'.
Ahead of their EP release this month, Ghost Arcadia dropped the final single to be taken from it 'Cyclone'. Ghost Arcadia have been shaking up the alt scene since their debut release in 2019, the London based group create music fitting to their mantra 'GENRE IS DEAD'. Drawing inspiration from many places they are creating adrenaline fueled tracks that'll grab you and refuse to let go. The four-piece have had notable radio play including BBC Introducing and Total Rock (Chris Stevens), they also were Maximum Volume Music's 'Band of the Day'. The new EP 'What We Become' focuses on concepts of perception and belief, and their single 'Cyclone' which came out in November is no different, lyrically being about getting caught up in the mundane automation of everyday life.
"When you think of cyclones your mind conjures images of raging storms that sweep up cars and buildings into the sky. We really wanted to capture that energy in the hook of the song and let it be found predominantly through the guitars on the track as well." - (Ghost Arcadia)
Opening with electronics that sound away like a siren, before venturing into trap beat fueled heaviness. This song has the power of a jet taking off and I can fully understand how these guys are setting the alt world alight, with 'Cyclone' they've made a track that is packed with intensity and really doesn't quite sit within any specific genre. This track has spirit, it's fresh and further proves that Ghost Arcadia could be one of the next great bands in the scene. I think this is definitely a band to keep a watch on, whether it's their intense new track 'Cyclone', new EP 'What We Become' or my personal favourite track from them 'Stray', they haven't slipped once.
