It's been a while but Hamartia are back with their brand new introspective single 'Is This It?'.
Hamartia have released their first single in over 5 years, and remind listeners why they should be your new favourite 'losercore' alt rock band. From the South-West, Hamartia have a rapidly growing and dedicated fanbase. The self-proclaimed 'losercore' alt rockers have had their trauma dumping style of writing, see them appear alongside the likes of Lake Malice, Dream State and Mallavora.
"When people ask us to describe this song in particular, the most accurate term we've found is 'post-therapy'. Our music has historically been based on some terrible experiences with terrible people, and 'Is This It?' feels like proof that, personally, we're finally moving in the right direction. 'Is This It?' is both uplifting and angry feeling, it's packed with thundering alt rock guitars and pounding drums but is just as equally full of a soft pureness. Most of the uplifting feeling comes from the vocals which are bright and seem to speak of choosing yourself and accepting the good things that come your way. 'Is This It?' is a great sort of comeback track and Hamartia definitely have a new fan here.
