Lahti, Finland based melodic hard rock band Highway Queen have released their new single 'Walls Are Burned' which is accompanied by a music video. The song blends a bit of hard rock, heavy metal and a little hint of a classic rock sound. Highway Queen were founded in 2019 by singer Virpi Kaariainen, guitarist Teemu Kaariainen and drummer Henri Backman. As a three piece they released four singles in 2020 before bassist Petri Orava joined. Their music is full of catchy riffs and melodies with influences from all kinds of rock and heavy metal music.
"Song tells about moment when you realise that everything in your life has broken in pieces. Verses and riffs have progressive rock style feel. Powerful bridge leads to straight forward heavy metal style chorus and solo part" - (Teemu Kaariainen, guitarist)
This song in my opinion feels all round very powerful and something to shout along with in the shower. It almost has the sound of something that belongs in a stadium. The guitar solo in particular caught my attention, reminding me of many classic rock guitarists that I love. This is 100% a song and band worth checking out.
