It's Irrelevant - Warpath

Kayleigh

Last month It's Irrelevant gave listeners a first taste of their upcoming second EP with the pop-punk single 'Warpath'.

It's Irrelevants newest single 'Warpath' sees the band head further into a pop-punk sound. The single comes ahead of their second EP 'Little Lives Part 2'. Providing alt-rock that heavily leans towards pop-punk, It's Irrelevant from East London have been combining prog-riffs, emotive vocals and catchy melodies to create a sound that's gaining them attention in the scene. Going into this track I fully expected to be hit with typical pop-punk sounds and while 'Warpath' does have that, it also feels a little rougher around the edges, a little more alt rock. The guitar parts throughout could easily be grabbed from any fun pop-punk track but the bass and the drums add in something that's just dipping into a more heavy sound. Vocally, much like the rest of the song there's the typical pop-punk whine but again you can hear that there is something else going on there. Without thinking on it too much though, it's an upbeat track that's enjoyable to listen to. I'm actually a bit disappointed that I'm only just hearing It's Irrelevant now, their music is really catchy and fun.
