Bristol three-piece Krooked Tongue have created a song for the tortured artist with their new single 'Nothing Ever Grows'.
Alt rock trio Krooked Tongue have released their next impressive single 'Nothing Ever Grows'. Krooked Tongue are a band who very rightfully are gaining attention in the rock world. The bands debut album which released in February of 2022 has already gained over 200,000 streams, while most recent album 'Deathproof' which came out in May of 2023 has kept the momentum going, already amassing over 320,000 streams. The band also recently played their biggest support slot for Kid Brunswick on the 'Dead Forever' UK tour. New single 'Nothing Ever Grows' serves as a wake up call, to finish that thing you were working on even when you hit a block.
"'Nothing Ever Grows' is a right moody geezer of a song. It was one of those tunes that transpired really quickly and it just captured the essence of the mood perfectly. I think it stems from frustration with yourself when you can't finish that idea, or that lyric. It's an ode to the tortured artist. Opening with a gritty riff and soulful vocals this track right off the bat is a force to be reckoned with. Channeling alt rock giants like Royal Blood or Queens of the Stone Age I'm surprised more people aren't raving about Krooked Tongue. Listening to 'Nothing Ever Grows' it didn't take me long to know that I was in love with this track, from the big guitars that are just rough enough around the edges, to the larger than life vocals and the drums that pound and crash away completing the sound, every aspect of this song makes it work, and damn does it work. For any alt rock lover reading this I can't recommend checking this release out enough.
