Olive Dares The Darkness are back with their distinctive sound in new single 'In The Club'.
On the 17th of August, alternative band Olive Dares The Darkness released another powerful and unique track, 'In The Club'. Known for blending powerful vocals, heavy guitar riffs and 80s-inspired synth beats, Olive Dares The Darkness have created a sound the flows from modern alt, to old indie pop, to some Gothic tones. In addition to playing their music, the band from Charleston, South Carolina also host an online radio show called ODDcast, where they explore a wide range of musical influences and discuss their creative process. 'In The Club' takes inspiration from artists like The Police and Cyndi Lauper, while it's message is written in response to a close friends struggle with depression, the song serves as a reminder that too many of us deal with these struggles and that you are not alone. 'In The Club' is an atmospheric track with powerful vocals that will grab you and keep you hooked. This is the first song I have heard from Olive Dares The Darkness and while this kind of alt synth rock isn't normally my thing I couldn't help but fall in love with the groups evocative and distinctive sound.
