Complete with electrifying guitars and an explosive energy, Ryder's 'Southbound' will take you back to the classic rock days.
'Southbound', the first single from Ryder's upcoming album 'Menagerie', is straight up explosive guitar rock. Ryder are a four-piece delivering hard rock that pulls inspiration from legendary classic rock acts, while adding their own modern edge. The group from Queens, NY, take a heavier more progressive approach to the rock genre but they still keep their feet firmly rooted in that large classic guitar driven sound. The single which was released back at the start of November is fiercely energetic with huge guitars, a thundering rhythm section and vocals that could've been lifted from the classic rock era. Yet, even with the obvious comparison to music from the past there is a hint of something new here, it's a little rougher and the vocals have a growl and bite to them. The song which appears to be about chasing your dreams even has a striking guitar solo which I am a huge fan of. Overall, 'Southbound' is a great track with loads of energy and fire that'll have you wanting to boogie along.
