Synlakross - Bunnies And Bows

Designed to empower, Synlakross's newest single 'Bunnies And Bows' is a protest against sexism and toxicity.

Synlakross have released their new single with accompanying video ahead of their album 'Mental Parasites', that is set for release on October 3rd. From Spain, Synlakross are a melodic death metal group that is influenced by the alt metal, nu metal and metalcore genres. The group pull inspiration from bands like In Flames, The Gazette, Korn and Slipknot. 'Bunnies And Bows' lyrically is stacked with protest and irony, this one is very personal for the bands vocalist Patricia and they hope that this song will empower those that have suffered discrimination, oppression or harassment by a sexist and toxic figure. Sound wise 'Bunnies And Bows' is powerful and a little chaotic. My first time listening to this one the opening guitars and drums had be believing I was going into a 90's inspired nu metal track, before those vocals hit you and the whole thing gets heavy so fast. Then the chorus seems to completely change it up again as it's more of a melodic death metal thing. I personally, am a big fan of the important topic of this track and the fact that Synlakross still manage to make a song that is on the surface entertaining and heavy.
